Activities

To support the goals of AAUW, we have several Projects each year. The next one is Evening With Authors on September 12, 2025.

On October 18, 2025, our 30th Expanding Your Horizons will be held with Centralia College for young women in grades 6 through 9.  Its goal is to provide help them learn about career opportunities in STEAM fields.  Details can be found in this brochure.

Branch Meetings are held the 1st Thursday of each month, September through May, at 7:00 p.m. at Westminster Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall. Social time begins at 6:30.

Programs for the 2025-26 year are as follows:

  • October 2: Squaxin Island Wood Carver/Artist by Andrea Wilbur Sigo
  • November 6: Artificial Intelligence, by Bo Anderson
  • December4: Holiday Party
  • January 8: Lewis County Juvenile Court, by Lisa Leon
  • February 5: Genealogy, by Kerry Serl
  • March 5: Centralia Pioneer Roi Partridge, by Stuart Halsan
  • April 2: Bob Mohrbacher, President Centralia College
  • May 7: To Be Determined
  • June 4: Scholarship Night. To Be Determined

Expanding Your Horizons —  career day for middle school girls is held each October, and a Used Book Sale to raise money for our Scholarships is held each March.  We give scholarships to support women attending college and to support STEM education at the middle and high school levels.
