An Evening with Authors

September 6, 2024, 7:00 pm

At the Rose Bowman Room, TransAlta Building, Centralia College

Award winning authors Olivia Hawker and Garth Stein will be participating in interviews and discussion followed by question and answer session.

Come early! Doors open at 6:00 pm

  • Purchase tickets for the basket raffle
  • Food and wine will be available
  • Book and Brush will be there to sell books
  • Local authors will be available to autograph their books

This event is in conjunction with the Southwest Washington Writers Conference.  For more information about these authors, visit the website of the Southwest Washington Writers Conference.  This evening program is being offered to the public who are interested in authors and reading but not necessarily writing books.

Tickets are $20 ($15 for students). They can be purchased in advance

Tickets can also be purchased at the door.

Proceeds will benefit Hope Alliance, Domestic Abuse Treatment Center in Centralia


Our next Used Book Sale will in be held March 27-29, 2025, at the Moose Lodge in Centralia.  We collect books, DVDs, CDs and audio books year around.  If you have items to donate, call or text Betty Garrett at 360-827-5838.


On October 19, 2024, we will host our 29th Expanding Your Horizons (EYH), a career day for middle school girls, co-sponsored by Centralia College.  Attendees will attend individual workshops where they can learn about careers in STEAM fields (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics).  Registration will open in September.
