Since its founding in 1881, AAUW’s mission has been to provide equity for women through education. The Lewis County Branch encourages education by giving scholarships to women.  Currently the branch provides scholarships for women attending college and for middle-school and high-school girls for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) programs.

In 2019, we supported GeoGirls, a summer camp at Mt. St. Helens, the STEM camp at W.F. West High School in Chehalis, and provided six $1000 scholarship to women attending college.
